The Liberator has a deep-amber to black brown color with a thick tan head. There is a rich and complex malty sweetness in the aroma that shows subtleties of toffee, tobacco and caramel. A touch of roast in the forefront soon gives way to a dense, sweet, malt body finished by a clean hop ending. Bitterness is generally only high enough to balance the malt flavors to allow for a moderately sweet finish. This Bavarian specialty is mostly served in the winter and spring Seasons. Baron Liberator Doppelbock is aged for a full six months prior to release, guaranteeing a smooth, clean beer.
All ingredients for the beer are imported from Germany. Brewed in accordance to the German Beer Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) of 1516.
